BRETHREN, STAND FAST (2 Thessalonians 2:15)
In Times Of Excitement
With no doubt, these are exciting times that we live in. Never before has there been such climatic action happening around the world. The current financial situation as one example is not just local, it is global. And as the United States continues to print money to pay for all the bailouts, they are setting us up for a great fall. In the meantime, there is the oil crisis. Oh, we may be paying cheaply at the pump right now, but other countries that depend upon the profits of selling their oil are losing out in a big way. Couple that with the climate issues, the environmentalism that is out of control with word from the next congress and administration is that they will speed things up, and you have the ultimate opening for scare tactics to push all kinds of legislation through. Add to all of this the calls for returning to God, the great increase in false prophets in and out of the church, along with various natural disasters and you have the perfect set up for … a lot of hype and speculation.
The Dangers
Hype and speculation can ignite followers, however, it can burn out just as quickly. People get to thinking that Jesus is returning by a certain time and when He does not the hype implodes, and all that, without even having to wait for the false Christ proclamations.
You may be sure that pure and undefiled religion is not a sensational religion. God has not laid upon anyone the burden of encouraging an appetite for encouraging speculative doctrines and theories. My brethren, keep these things out of your teaching.--Australasian Union Conference Record, March 15, 1904. {Evangelism, page 138}
It has been said that gas prices would be over $5.00 a gallon and could go as high as $10, and when it did not and we now have record low prices, there is felt a bit of disconnection, confusion even.
While we certainly should not play down the things happening around us, we can be aware without having to hype it up or speculate as to what the future holds, what we should do, most especially physically, and how we should react. But what is the real reason we ought to be careful of speculation and hype? Let us investigate.
The Real Danger
Christ's servants are to do the same work. In our day, as of old, the vital truths of God's word are set aside for human theories and speculations. Many professed ministers of the gospel do not accept the whole Bible as the inspired word. One wise man rejects one portion; another questions another part. They set up their judgment as superior to the word; and the Scripture which they do teach rests upon their own authority. Its divine authenticity is destroyed. Thus the seeds of infidelity are sown broadcast; for the people become confused and know not what to believe. {Christ Object Lessons, page 39}
As false milestones fail, so does trust in God’s Word and the Spirit of Prophecy. Yes, a financial crisis is the environment for Sunday Law, however, to state that by a certain time frame they should see X or Y happening and it does not, then they are doing a disservice.
There has been quite a bit of misapplied and fanatical scenarios popping up lately faster than weeds. For example, the stock piling of coffins outside of Atlanta is not in preparation for a food shortage that should be happening in mere months. They were for the expectation of the Bird Flu to wipe out many populations.
The Scriptures need not be read by the dim light of tradition or human speculation. As well might we try to give light to the sun with a torch as to explain the Scriptures by human tradition or imagination. God's holy word needs not the torchlight glimmer of earth to make its glories distinguishable. It is light in itself--the glory of God revealed, and beside it every other light is dim. {Christ's Object Lessons, page 111}
It is things like stretching the truth to make it more exciting that is the danger. We have clearly been counseled to stay clear of hype and speculation. Psalm 118:8 "[It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man." Only God knows the future, place your trust in Him, not man. Proverbs 29:25 "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe."
What Is The Focus
Another danger with speculation is that people get excited about the events and do not think of their own conditions. Additionally, they do not think of wanting to help others get out of their poor conditions. The thought is simply of going to heaven. They are all caught up in the excitement of the signs being fulfilled. And little thought is directed to the appropriate things.
A revival and a reformation must take place, under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend.--RH Feb. 25, 1902. {Last Day Events, page 189}
Will you be fulfilling this scene?
In the visions of the night a very impressive scene passed before me. I saw an immense ball of fire fall among some beautiful mansions, causing their instant destruction. I heard some one say, "We knew that the judgments of God were coming upon the earth, but we did not know that they would come so soon." Others, with agonized voices, said, "You knew! Why then did you not tell us? We did not know!" On every side I heard similar words of reproach spoken. {Christian Service, page 111}
These are the people that were all hyped up about the signs and thought little of spiritual matters and thought little about telling others who know nothing of what is taught. Oh, it is easy to tell others of the signs that are in the church to continue the excitement, but what is the purpose of the signs?
When running a long distance race, you pace yourself. You do not want to drop over in the middle of the race going full speed for that speed is not sustainable. On the other hand, if you walk and drag your feet, the race will be declared over before you reach the finish line. But now you see what looks like the finish line. Runners will pick up the pace and more and more as they get closer.
We are not to encourage a spirit of enthusiasm that brings zeal for a while, but soon fades away, leaving discouragement and depression. We need the bread of life that comes down from heaven to give life to the soul. Study the Word of God. Do not be controlled by feeling. All who labor in the vineyard of the Lord must learn that feeling is not faith. To be always in a state of elevation is not required. But it is required that we have firm faith in the Word of God as the flesh and blood of Christ. {Evangelism, page 138}

Those who do the work of the Lord in our cities must close and bolt the doors firmly against excitement and fanaticism. The Word of God is our sanctification and righteousness, because it is spiritual food. To study it is to eat the leaves of the tree of life. Nothing is more uplifting to God's servants than to teach the Scriptures just as Christ taught them. The Word of God contains divine nourishment, which satisfies the appetite for spiritual food.--Letter 17, 1902. {Evangelism, page 138}
Bolting a door firmly is to reject even a little hype.
What Are We To Do?
So as we see final events happening around us, what are we to do? Did you know that the phrase “stand fast” appears nine times in the Bible? And the number of times the word “stand” is mentioned is quite numerous. The point being is that God wants us to stand, stand firm, and unmovable.
"Each year they are to make steady advancement, gradually but surely laying aside the inexperience of boyhood and girlhood for the experience of manhood and womanhood." {Adventist Home, page 288}
Those who thus exercise the Christian graces will grow, and will become strong to work for God. They will have clear spiritual perceptions, a steady, growing faith, and an increased power in prayer. {God's Amazing Grace, page 305}
Even in the infancy of his spiritual understanding, the Christian is to do his best, making steady advancement toward the higher, holier life. He is to realize that he is a laborer together with God. . . . {In Heavenly Places, page 183}
The Lord wants us to give Him all there is of us in a steady, evenly balanced Christian life.... {HP 185.4}

Debt Reduction Progress
Over our 10 year history, $80,000 accumulated in ministry debt both from short periods of time of not being able to cover all of the expenses and the over 4 year period (Jan. 2004 - May 2007) when we personally could not sustain this ministry.
Jerry had lost his employment due to refusing to work on Friday afternoons during the winter, which would have infringed upon the Sabbath hours. Without that income we were not able to sustain this ministry and so the debt accumulated.
Financial blessings are occurring in his work, but to recover financially it requires him to work very long hours. Can you help eliminate this ministry debt faster?

WALK, EVEN AS HE WALKED (1 John 2:6)
In this new section, we are going to search the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy for guidance as to what is meant to have a Christian character.
From the book, The Faith I Live By, page 219:
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1 John 2:6.
We have before us the highest, holiest example. In thought, word, and deed Jesus was sinless. Perfection marked all that He did. He points us to the path that He trod, saying, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." Matt. 16:24.
Christ unites in His person the fullness and perfection of the Godhead and the fullness and perfection of sinless humanity. He met all the temptations by which Adam was assailed, and overcame these temptations because in His humanity He relied upon divine power. This subject demands far more contemplation than it receives. Christians strike too low. They are content with a superficial spiritual experience, and therefore they have only the glimmerings of light, when ... they might discern more clearly the wonderful perfection of Christ's humanity, which rises far above all human greatness, all human power. Christ's life is a revelation of what fallen human beings may become through union and fellowship with the divine nature. . . .
Men and women frame many excuses for their proneness to sin. Sin is represented as a necessity, an evil that cannot be overcome. But sin is not a necessity. Christ lived in this world from infancy to manhood, and during that time He met and resisted all the temptations by which man is beset. He is a perfect pattern of childhood, of youth, of manhood.
The life of Christ has shown what humanity can do by being partaker of the divine nature. All that Christ received from God we too may have. Then ask and receive. . . . Let your life be knit by hidden links to the life of Jesus.
As you see, the first step is to realize there is no excuse for sin. Walk as Jesus walked means that by the power of Jesus Christ, we will walk sinless.

IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS (Acts 2:17)
In this new section, we are going to search the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy for those events that would occur in the last days, but the first thing we must establish is what is meant by the term “last days".
Some speculate that the last days are the very final days of earth's history. If that were so, the last days would consist of a period of time where the plagues are being poured out.
Some others speculate that the last days is the period of time where the final prophecies are being fulfilled over a period of a few years but no more. Such would leave out fulfilled events mentioned for the last days.
Yet still others speculate that it is the time period of the last generation on earth. If that were so, then there are a lot of last day events that have come to pass that would be left out.
Finally, there are a few that believe the last days are all of the events spanning the time that is reserved for the major prophecies spanning even multiple generations.
Who is right? What voices should you be listening to?
Matthew 24:3 says, "And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"
So the signs that Jesus declares (below) is when the last days / end of the world began.
Matthew 24:29 states, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken."
According to our church and specifically the writings of Ellen White, she writes:
"Almost if not altogether alone as the most mysterious and as yet unexplained phenomenon of its kind, . . . stands the dark day of May 19, 1780,--a most unaccountable darkening of the whole visible heavens and atmosphere in New England." That the darkness was not due to an eclipse is evident from the fact that the moon was then nearly full. It was not caused by clouds, or the thickness of the atmosphere, for in some localities where the darkness extended, the sky was so clear that the stars could be seen. Concerning the inability of science to assign a satisfactory cause for this manifestation, Herschel the astronomer declares: "The dark day in North America was one of those wonderful phenomena of nature which philosophy is at a loss to explain." {The Great Controversy, 1888, page 306}
Please note, as popularly accused by others, this is no wildfire westward of New England. Stars could still be seen during the mid day.
"Though at nine o'clock that night the moon rose to the full, 'it had not the least effect to dispel the deathlike shadows.' After midnight the darkness disappeared, and the moon, when first visible, had the appearance of blood." {The Great Controversy, page 307}
"We are told by the early risers . . . that the sky yesterday morning [Nov. 13], before sunrise, was full of meteors and luminous traces, shooting athwart the heavens in all directions. The sky, some say, seemed to be on fire--others add that the stars appeared to be falling."--November 15, 1833. {1BIO, page 19}
"These signs were witnessed before the opening of the nineteenth century. In fulfillment of this prophecy there occurred, in the year 1755, the most terrible earthquake that has ever been recorded. Though commonly known as the earthquake of Lisbon, it extended to the greater part of Europe, Africa, and America. It was felt in Greenland, in the West Indies, in the island of Madeira, in Norway and Sweden, Great Britain and Ireland. It pervaded an extent of not less than four million square miles. In Africa the shock was almost as severe as in Europe. A great part of Algiers was destroyed; and a short distance from Morocco, a village containing eight or ten thousand inhabitants was swallowed up. A vast wave swept over the coast of Spain and Africa engulfing cities and causing great destruction." {The Great Controversy, page 304}
As you can see by Jesus’ statements, these events dating as early as 1755 marked the last days. That means that our entire church history marks the last days. That means the fall of the Vatican in 1798 is part of the last day events.
Therefore, every Seventh-day Adventist is more than a church member. They are part of the last day movement. A movement does not settle down in the pews. A movement "prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings" (Revelation 10:11).

Take Time To Taste
Exodus 16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it [was] like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it [was] like wafers [made] with honey.
In a hurry? Gulping food? Is it common for you to chew five or less times and then swallow? Ever been asked how something tasted and you have no clue?
Such may appear as bad table manners but in reality, it is a health issue. The food ought to stay in the mouth in a chewing manner to release various juices that will react with the saliva. The saliva begins the digestive process. Without it, the food just sits in the stomach making the stomach to work harder and longer.
Therefore, for proper digestive health, chew your food until it is a cream and without any solids. Make sure you know what the food tastes like before swallowing. Who knows? You may actually enjoying eating less.

A group that supports the stand The Mormons took on California's Proposition 8 took out a full-page ad in today's New York Times. The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty placed the ad, which is titled "No Mob Veto." It decries recent protests against the Church for its role in helping pass Prop. 8, which outlaws gay marriage. The ad says what began as "demonstrations" against the Church have gotten out of hand. It goes on to say, "Religious wars are wrong; they are also dangerous. Those who fail to condemn or seem to condone that intimidation are at fault as well."
COMMENT: Ephesians 6:14 "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness." Praise the Lord for the actions of the LDS and The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty . Are there not more religious groups rightly standing for the truth in California? Even if you believe God condemns partnering with an erroneous group and you think LDS are in error, God does not condemn the promotion of the truth. Does Satan have the tongues of the other churches? It started with celebacy for gays but allowance to hold positions in the church. Then they were allowed to cohabitate. Now the churches are silent at battle time.
A filmmaker who recently released an independent project about a formula that turns all heterosexuals into "gays" now has announced he's working on "The Princess Diana Bible" in which "God" ordains homosexuality as the better lifestyle. "There are many different versions of the Bible; I don't see why we can't have one," stated Max Mitchell in a statement on a website for his new project.
COMMENT: 1 John 4:1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." Turning Adam and Eve into Aida and Eve as a Lesbian couple and producing Cain and Abel through intercourse with Satan along with declaring Jesus to be gay is not the Spirit of God. We tested it and in less time than it takes to blink, we reject it. Once you start messing around with the Word of God, look out! God made humans to create more beings. You cannot do that with two women or two men. And He did not make some to create and others to not. He gave all the ability to do so, with the exception of the result of years of sin causing medical problems in some (sin in general, not their sin).
One of the key leaders of today's most cutting-edge church movement has opened an Internet discussion on the issue of same-sex marriage with the bold proclamation that he believes "gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual and queer" individuals can and should live out their sexuality in - and blessed by - the Christian church. "I now believe that GLBTQ can live lives in accord with biblical Christianity."
COMMENT: There is only one way to be “biblically” acceptable and that is to pit the clear teachings of Leviticus 20:13, Deuteronomy 22:5, Romans 1:26-32 condemning to hell such activities against 1 John 4:16 that seems to ignore such things under the blanket of love.
When the officiant tells Claudaniel Fabien he can kiss his bride at the altar Saturday, it will be the couple's very first kiss. You see, Fabien and LaLuz both teach abstinence courses to Chicago Public Schools teens. And they say they practice what they preach.
COMMENT: 1 Thessalonians 4:3 "For this is the will of God, [even] your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication." And kissing, as in dating, was considered fornication. There was not to be making out. No activity at all. The wedding was to be the first for everything. How the world would be better off if more practiced this.
Below freezing temperatures did not daunt students who boldly participated in a notorious annual Tufts tradition – the naked quad run.
COMMENT: 1 Timothy 2:9 "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel." Both men and women were very immodest. It does not matter that it is a way to relieve stress. It does not matter that there was no physical contact. Going for a run relieves stress. No need to do it naked. And if you did not get the hint, it is a sin to participate, even as an observer. Isaiah 33:15-16 "He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; he shall dwell on high: his place of defence [shall be] the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters [shall be] sure."
A Carroll woman who was caught having sex in the men's room at an Iowa Hawkeye football game in Minneapolis last weekend says she’d had so much wine before kickoff that she doesn’t remember walking into the restroom, the man she had sex with in a stall, or when the police opened the door. Miner, the campus police officer, said fighting the indecent conduct charge could be a long shot. "It's spelled out in the law in Minnesota that intoxication is not a defense to any crime," he said.
COMMENT: Prov. 20:1 "Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." Praise the Lord for the Minnesota law. Getting drunk should never be a defense. It is the person's fault for getting into that condition in the first place.
The head of the history department at Virginia Military Institute suggests that the Apostle Paul may have been spying for the Romans. She suggests that Paul may have faked his conversion on the road to Damascus so he could infiltrate Christian congregations and report to Rome on suspicious elements in synagogues across the empire.
COMMENT: 2 Timothy 3:7 "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." If it is not one crazy theory after another as we add this to such nonsense. The fact that the Bible is attacked by so many attempts to discredit it tells us that it is the true thing. If he were a Roman spy, why is it reported that Paul was sentenced to death by the hands of the Romans by even non-Christians? Why does his writings parallel so much, as is the test according to Isaiah 8:20, with other books of the Bible if he were a spy? That also discredits the eyewitnesses of the matter in Damascus. All of them saw something bright knock Paul off his horse and heard what they called thunder when Jesus spoke specifically to Paul.
To be biblical, one must not pit verses against each other. Yes, God loves the GLBTQ but love does not overlook knowingly committing sin. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent” (Rev. 3:19).
A New York man is linking the suicide of his 22-year-old son, a military veteran who had bright prospects in college, to an anti-Christian book, after a college professor challenged the son to read it.
COMMENT: Psalm 5:1 "Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation." Isaiah 8:20 "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them." Although God does not explicitly command not to read anti-Christian literature, or to go to anti-Christian programs and discussions, He does give us principles for us to follow because He gives us freedom to choose. Just as the Devil tempted Eve to eat the fruit, this professor did the same. It was not God’s intent to know evil just as it is not necessary to prove your strength or your ability to counter attack the lies. Let atheists believe their atheistic beliefs. Do not feel you have to answer to their material. Look at Jesus. Even with the Pharisees, He always changed the argument. He never met them on their ground because it was usually a losing proposition. 2 Corinthians 3:18 states that "beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory" applies as well to "beholding as in a glass the lies of Satan, are changed into the same image of unbelief." Ellen White warned a man to cease debates with Satanists, Atheists, and whatever non-Adventist there was. She was right once again. He left it all for Atheism.
'He will not be the next president,' Leland Freeborn warns those who will listen. He and his followers expect nuclear explosions this Christmas season. It was enough time to sketch out his history -- a Mormon of substance, a father of 12, he had crashed his airplane in 1975 and fallen into a three-week coma, during which he went through "to the other side" and emerged a prophet.
COMMENT: Sorry Mr. Prophet, but "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them" (Isaiah 8:20). Being a Sunday keeper and practicing polygamy, as the article in entire form states, he is disqualified as being a prophet. Now we include this article to use it to appeal to the SDA's that are forever stating, "Just because it does not come in the manner we expect does not make it wrong." To that we say, "When it goes directly against the principles of the Bible, it is wrong!" So stop looking for something outside of the church. And what is sad, this same crowd that keeps looking outside the church are the one's that refuse to listen to the manner of truth coming at them, like this, because it is not how they expect it to come -- from someone stuck on Ellen White and the Bible. God help us.
A public policy organization has issued an urgent alert stating affirmative votes are needed from only two more states before a Constitutional Convention could be assembled in which "today's corrupt politicians and judges" could formally change the U.S. Constitution's "'problematic' provisions to reflect the philosophical and social mores of our contemporary society." "Don't for one second doubt that delegates to a Con Con wouldn't revise the First Amendment into a government-controlled privilege, replace the 2nd Amendment with a 'collective' right to self-defense, and abolish the 4th, 5th, and 10th Amendments, and the rest of the Bill of Rights," said the warning from the American Policy Institute. "Additions could include the non-existent separation of church and state, the 'right' to abortion and euthanasia, and much, much more," the group said.
COMMENT: Is this the prelude to fulfilling the following prophecy? When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.-- (1885). {LDE 131.4}
Internet evangelist and host of LivePrayer Bill Keller is petitioning Pres. Bush & Congress to designate Dec. 18 as a national day of prayer and fasting for the economy. "The crisis is a spiritual problem," said Keller in a statement. Despite several government attempts to revive a slumping national economy, the financial crisis remains - a fact, Keller contends, that illustrates America's problems aren't economic but spiritual. "The answer to our economic downfall is not an infusion of trillions of dollars, but the humble prayers of forgiveness and repentance for our sin and rebellion against God."
When Kentucky formed its state Office of Homeland Security, it listed the department's initial duty as "stressing the dependence on Almighty God as being vital to the security of the Commonwealth." The office is now required to put God above all else - including allocation of government grants and threat-risk analysis.
COMMENT: "When our nation shall so abjure the principles of its government as to enact a Sunday law, Protestantism will in this act join hands with popery; it will be nothing else than giving life to the tyranny which has long been eagerly watching its opportunity to spring again into active despotism." --{Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 712.} One first must be in the mindset of connecting what is coming with a need to repent and set time aside for God. I believe we have those little steps once again towards it.
The U.S. military expects to have 20,000 uniformed troops inside the United States by 2011 trained to help state and local officials respond to a nuclear terrorist attack or other domestic catastrophe, according to Pentagon officials. There are critics of the change, in the military and among civil liberties groups and libertarians who express concern that the new homeland emphasis threatens to strain the military and possibly undermine the Posse Comitatus Act, a 130-year-old federal law restricting the military's role in domestic law enforcement.
COMMENT: "When the laws of men are exalted above the laws of God, when the powers of this earth try to force men to keep the first day of the week, know that the time has come for God to work."--7BC 980 (1901). {LDE 135.4} One cannot have force if there is not domestic military. Here is another step getting ready to fulfill prophecy.
The bank said the damage caused by the financial excesses of the last quarter century was forcing the world's authorities to take steps that had never been tried before. This gamble was likely to end in one of two extreme ways: with either a resurgence of inflation; or a downward spiral into depression, civil disorder, and possibly wars. Both outcomes will cause a rush for gold. "This will lead to political instability. We are already seeing countries on the periphery of Europe under severe stress. Some leaders are now at record levels of unpopularity. There is a risk of domestic unrest, starting with strikes because people are feeling disenfranchised."
COMMENT: Revelation 18:11-14 "And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all." Eventually there will be a worldwide market crash. Though this one appears during the seven last plagues, the beginning does not necessarily start then. We might be witnessing it now.
A Wal-Mart worker died after being trampled when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island store Friday morning, police and witnesses said. A 28-year-old pregnant woman was knocked to the floor during the mad rush. She was hospitalized for observation, police said. Three other shoppers suffered minor injuries, cops said.
COMMENT: Proverbs 1:19 "So [are] the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; [which] taketh away the life of the owners thereof." What a sad example of what people rush to without regards to life. For that matter, they are trading in life eternal for those that rush after the world will lose out on heaven.
