A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats. The report also mentions "'end times' prophecies could motivate extremist individuals and groups to stockpile food, ammunition and weapons. These teachings also have been linked with the radicalization of domestic extremist individuals and groups in the past, such as the violent Christian Identity organizations and extremist members of the militia movement."
Fox News, April 16, 2009 - Georgetown University Hid Religious Symbols at White House Request
Georgetown University hid a religious inscription representing the name of Jesus during President Obama's address there Tuesday, FOXNews.com has confirmed, because White House staff asked the school to cover up all religious symbols and signs while the president was on stage.

"The White House says the president is unaware of the tea parties and will hold his own event today," ABC's Dan Harris said on "Good Morning America" on April 15.

For America "It is a More Dangerous World," and President Obama isn't making it any better with his rhetoric and, of course, his bowing at the feet of the Saudi royal family.
TSTL COMMENT: In declaring that America is no longer a Christian nation, though he clarifies the statement in the next sentence, it would have been less of a controversy if the word "just" were placed in the same sentence. He should have said, America is no longer just a Christian nation and that is unfortunately a true statement. This coupled with hiding Christian symbols, in the name of political correctness and then bowing before the Muslim world has alarmed many Christians. Then the incredible claims of being unaware of the nationwide tea parties is creating an environment where a growing population is feeling ignored. Now with Homeland Security targeting citizen's of America for having a different belief as the current Administration, this country could possibly witness a backlash. While there are always those within any group that could give it a bad name, the vast majority are not at all like what this report is portraying.
This should remind us to be careful of our involvement in politics. Though you may think it is for a good cause to stand up for the constitution and may feel that it is being trampled upon, be careful of being pulled in to what could turn into a religious backlash and be found on the wrong side. Just remember:
Political corruption is destroying love of justice and regard for truth, and even in free America rulers and legislators, in order to secure public favor, will yield to the popular demand for a law enforcing Sunday observance.--GC 578, 579, 592 (1911). {Last Day Events, page 129}
To secure popularity and patronage, legislators will yield to the demand for a Sunday law....By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. . . . {LDE 132.4}
We are not prophets. We do not know if the current flow of anti-government sentiments, which are assembling now in peace, will usher in the Sunday cry to get us back to being a Christian nation, but we sure want to be careful of the time devoted away from Bible studies and also funds that could be placed in God's work.
Also, please note that on the watch list includes those believing and preaching in "End Time Prophecies." These events must come to pass to usher in the second coming.
Our involvement in politics must be calculated.
We cannot with safety vote for political parties; for we do not know whom we are voting for. We cannot with safety take part in any political schemes. {Fundamentals of Christian Education, page 475}
"'Shall we vote for prohibition?' she asked. 'Yes, to a man, everywhere,' she replied, 'and perhaps I shall shock some of you if I say, If necessary, vote on the Sabbath day for prohibition if you cannot at any other time."'--Ibid. {3BIO 160.1}
Though prohibition is not Sunday law, how much greater ought we to be even if required on the Sabbath day to vote against a Sunday movement. Putting these things together then, we ought not to be involved with voting for political parties, nor over anything but moral issues, primarily being against Sunday law.
